Donatella Versace and Dua Lipa have collaborated on a new Versace collection
Designer Donatella Versace is collaborating with singer Dua Lipa to create a new women's collection for Versace, which they plan to show in Cannes.
The collection, called La Vacanza, will be presented at the fashion show on May 23rd. The show is not part of the official schedule of events of the Cannes Film Festival, which will take place from 16 to 27 May, but it will take place simultaneously in the French resort town. The exact location of the show is not yet being disclosed.
"I have always been inspired by the process of collaboration. Working with Dua on this collection has been incredibly exciting and I love the dynamics between us," said Versace, the brand's chief creative director.
Donatella Versace noted that the show of the summer collection will be "truly special and intimate".
"I am so excited to have created a women’s collection La Vacanza for Versace with Donatella. We have formed such a strong bond over these years and I am so thankful for the support I have had from her and everyone on the team right from the start of my career. It is such an honour to have been given this opportunity to create this collection and express my summer inspirations," said Lipa.
