Britney Spears was involved in a scandal while attempting to take a selfie with Victor Wembanyama

The famous American singer Britney Spears was involved in an unpleasant incident.

It happened in a restaurant at a premium hotel in Las Vegas. The star was having dinner with her husband and friends when 19-year-old NBA player Victor Wembanyama entered the establishment. The young man was accompanied by security.

Being a fan of the young basketball player, Britney approached him and asked for a joint photograph. At some point, the 41-year-old singer attempted to lightly pat Victor on the back, which didn't sit well with his security.

It is reported that after this gesture, one of the athlete's bodyguards slapped the singer on the face with the back of his hand, causing the pop star to fall to the floor. After the unpleasant incident, Spears returned to her table, where later the player's security approached and apologized for what happened.

Spears seemed to have forgiven the man. However, later there were reports in the media that the singer had filed a police report for assault.

Interestingly, the basketball player later held a press conference and told journalists how someone grabbed him from behind and his security pushed away the uninvited "fan." According to Victor's account, he didn't immediately believe that the famous singer turned out to be there.
