Lenovo Enhanced Multimedia Remote with Keyboard can hook-up to PS3 or Xbox

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Lenovo. All opinions are 100% mine.

Lenovo has an upgrade to its popular Lenovo Enhanced Multimedia Remote with Keyboard. This new version adds lots of fun features like the control of your PC, Xbox, PS3, Wii and whatever else that is Bluetooth enabled. This thing packs some pretty decent specs, including:

  • 2.4G wireless keyboard and OFN (optical finger navigation) with Slide Bar
  • Pocket-sized keyboard & mouse in One hand-held device
  • Ultra-small USB receiver – plug and play, no driver install
  • Black-light keyboard with on/off switch to save battery life
  • Up to 3 month Battery life (two AA)
  • Range up to 30 feet
  • Compatible with Windows 2000 ,XP, Vista & Windows 7

The Multimedia Remote has a unique form factor that meshes well with the mini keyboard. In my opinion the most interesting feature has to be a combination of the small USB reciever and Bluetooth connectivity that ranges up to 30 feet. If I had one of these bad boys I would probably hook it up to my PS3 or Xbox, as it gets pretty annoying at times when I want to navigate or type-search things.

Since the remote keyboard can hook up to a PC, then it should be able to connect to an iPad or a newer Android tablet. Right now, Lenovo has the enhanced remote on sale on its site for $47.99, which is $32 off its original price. To get a better idea of how the remote keyboard handles, please check out the video below.

Walgreen’s Prescription Savings Club covers everyone including pets

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

For those of you out there saying to yourself: “Why is The Trendaholic writing about Walgreens Prescription Savings Club?” Well, I felt it was important to talk about this pretty cool plan the pharmaceutical retailer is offering. First of all, healthcare is important in this country because cost is so ridiculously high for care a medication. I am a supporter of cost efficiency, and no matter the topic I feel it’s important to pass on that information to you (my readers).

That said, this Savings Club plan has some pretty good discounts for 8,000 popular brand-name and generic medications people use everyday. You also get discounts on flu shots, pet prescriptions, nebulizer and diabetic supplies. For instance, over 400 generics are under Walgreens’ $12.99 for a 3-month supply, which also includes birth control ladies and gents ;-) .

Again, I’m not trying to sell you anything, instead, I’m informing you on something that may be usual for you and your family. Walgreens Prescription Savings Club enrollment fee usually goes for $20 per year for an individual or $35 per year for families. But for a limited time you can sign up for only $5 as an individual or $10 for a family until January 31st — so get moving before it’s too late!

If you guys have questions feel free to follow Walgreens on Twitter or Walgreens on Facebook, as they will further help assist you.

Stay at Home CONTRACTOR?!

Posted: January 4th, 2012 | Author: Charles West | Filed under: Sponsors | No Comments »

Being a stay at home mom means I’m also pretty much a fulltime contractor now, too. I know that sounds crazy but when you buy a house that needs as much work as ours does you realize fast that someone needs to more or less be there all the time to monitor what’s going on and really keep track of who’s doing what. There’s something to be said for my little home office and my CLEARWIRE INTERNET where I can escape the noise for a bit and I know that when all is said and done this house is going to look amazing but I’m really sick of living in a construction zone and I didn’t exactly sign up for this much work, you know? I thought we’d buy a more or less completed home and just move in, not deal with the hassles of renovations for months! I can’t wait to get finished so I can be done with all this hassle and whatnot – there’s something to be said for having a life!

LG DoublePlay brings two screens for unique multitasking

Posted: December 16th, 2011 | Author: Charles West | Filed under: Sponsors | No Comments »

This post brought to you by LG DoublePlay™. All opinions are 100% mine.

I thought it was pretty cool that the folks over at LG wanted for me to explain the qualities of the LG DoublePlay™ exclusively available for T-Mobile. The weird thing is, I actually have this phone in my possession   right now, and will conduct a review within the next few days (so tuned loyal readers). That said, what’ll you get with this device is dual touch screens; a main 3.5-inch display and a 2-inch display that can work separately or in tandem. Other noteworthy features include:

  • Android 2.3 Gingerbread
  • Full slide-out QWERTY keyboard w/ pre-installed Swype
  • 5-megapixel camera with LED flash
  • 720p HD video recording
  • Cloud Text and Group Text

Furthermore, the DoublePlay is a big play (no pun intended) on social networking and multitasking. Running your favorite social networking apps is suppose to be more simpler with the double screen display, and if you like to text and do other things it’ll suit that purpose. I send a lot text messages and do a lot of social networking, so if you’re into that this could be the phone for you. All in all, on paper the LG DoublePlay is a decent phone for specific need — like multitasking.

I’m not going to BS you guys and tell you this is the greatest phone ever, but I will say it’s a good choice for those who loved the Sidekick brand of phones. Stay tuned for my hands-on review of the handset in a few days.

Movies are Pricey!

Posted: July 24th, 2011 | Author: Charles West | Filed under: Sponsors | Tags: , | Comments Off

Guest post written by my buddy Bernardo Graham

I am so sick of having to pay so much to go to the movies! It’s almost like they expect you to pay for your own copy of the movie every single time you go! By the time that you take your kids you could literally just own the movie! My solution was simple: I decided that it was time to research other ways in which to watch a good movie. I went to http://direc.Tv, and cannot even begin to tell you how much money I save by getting movies at home. You have all of the same selections as if you went to blockbuster, and my kids love being able to choose a movie from home. They think that I’m the coolest mom ever for getting us Direct TV, and I feel smart for having a cheaper way to let my kids see movies! We have not been disappointed in the selections, and my kids love inviting their little friends over and turning our house in to a theatre where they can watch movies together! Plus I save on gas, too! I suggest everyone trying to save a buck (and aren’t we all?) should do the same thing!
