I stumbled across this interesting infographic that explains the emergence of optical technology and how augmented reality can help the blind. I commend the company for its forward thinking, the presentation below shows how wonderful the evolution of glasses could be in the very near future. The whole premise of this infographic is to get people’s minds wrapped around the concept of having functionality of a smartphone compacted into wearable eyeglasses, or even just a contact lens. Yea, this is some real Total Recall meets Star Trek type of shit.
Zenni believes much progress has already been made, but the company did mention that this everyday life of augmented reality is still 20 years away.
