Taco Bell to debut breakfast burritos and tacos in Doritos shell

Taco Bell is not only looking to get its menu lineup completely refreshed, but its marketing chops in order as well. The large Mexican food chain is planning to inject an assortment of changes that could spur more interest from fast food addicts, as a slew of new products will be rolling out. These new additions include a Chiptole-like Cantina Bell platform, a new breakfast roll-out, a new slogan and brand campaign, and a trendsetting idea that can potentially revive its struggling business: a line of Doritos Locos Tacos with shells made entirely from Doritos — can you imagine that?

Taco Bell is all in with this new experiment promoting it on its website, the company has a count down until launch date of the Locos Tocos, with a simple tagline to go with it “Taco Bell on the inside and Doritos on the outside.” I love this concept from the taco maker, taking a risk by putting its fate into an orange tortilla chip shaped into a shell, is a risk worth making in my opinion. This attitude is shared by some of the top creative minds over at the fast food company, Taco Bell CEO Greg Creed, added “This will be the biggest new-product launch Taco Bell has ever had.”

In the end, the company is making a change away from its old ways, as it’s no longer trying to fit in with other fast food joints. Remember that cheesy slogan “Think outside the bun?” Well, that’s being replaced with a simpler and trendier slogan that’s more lifestyle-targeted: “Live Más” (“Live More” in Spanish.) The new slogan is cleaner and fits what the company is all about — eating tacos and living life.
