Cuban sculptor Yoan Capote artfully manipulates individuals and objects
Found this pretty interesting artwork from a Cuban sculptor by the name of Yoan Capote. His art is inspired by the interactions between individuals and objects. When I first seen his art not only did I say whoa, it reminded me of some weird movie in my head starring Johnny Depp. Seriously, could you picture anybody else in a movie with weird objects like the pics below in the gallery? That said, Yoan explained his art in a few words,
“…my work has been the result of analyzing objects and their relationship with our body; studying their interface, representation and physical or sensorial possibilities. My working process begins by applying different physical, social and psychological situations to the hard surface of urban materials and standard objects. When we use objects, they are an extension of our body and are connected with all the habits and human needs that define our behavior.” Source
