Good news for you gamers out there, Warner Bros. Interactive will release a new version of the classic fighting franchise Mortal Kombat in 2011 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The publisher says the latest chapter in the longtime series will renew its focus on a mature presentation, featuring more gory Fatalities, or finishing moves– wow that should be yummy
. I honestly believe in the past years Mortal Kombat games lost it’s luster because of pressure from the public or government rating industries pushing to have the content tempered or watered down. Which made loyal gamers turn away. Let’s face it Mortal Kombat is the grand daddy of gore when it comes to video games (in my opinion of course). Do you remember any other video game ten or fifteen years ago that was so brutal when it came to graphical content? I don’t… and it sure as hell wasn’t Street Fighter.
A couple specs:
- Co-Op Arcade mode, where teams of two players can battle other duos online.
- Fresh graphics and a revamped two-dimensional fighting style will also be featured.
