Redbox Set To Challenge Netflix In Low Cost Video Streaming

If you are a Redbox customer like myself you should be happy to hear that Redbox is getting itself ready to enter the video streaming market. This is bad news for companies like Netflix when it comes to revenue because as some of you already know Redbox got it’s fame from offering cheap box office movies at a price of $1 a night. Now, entering the video streaming business (considering if they do of course) Redbox is set to stream videos for a fraction of what Netfilx charges for their services.
But like I said this would only affect some of Netflix’s revenue stream, but won’t affect it’s market share, I think it will be smart for Redbox to enter into this video streaming era when your product can reap the benefits of the iPhone’s and iPad’s of the world. As a caution to the non believers out there if Redbox was to decide on doing this don’t sleep on their potential impact– hell just ask Blockbuster.
